MURFREESBORO - Janet Louise Benthall Day, 86, of the 100 block of Liberty St., died Aug. 19, 1992 in a rest home. Mrs. Day was born in Hertford County and was member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church and a founding member of the Murfreesboro Women's Club.

She retired from the Department of Social Services where she was a caseworker. She was the widow of David Alexander Day Jr. Surviving: son, David A. Day III of Boykins, Va.; sister, Florence B. Powell of Rich Square; five grandchildren.

Graveside service 2 p.m. Sunday 21 Aug 1992, Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro, with the Rev. Thomas Caulkins. Garrett Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, is handling the service.
