John F. Bednar, Jr., 69, of Suffolk, Va. passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021. He was the son of the late John Bednar and Regina Barna. He is also predeceased by his stepson, Travis Stoner. John loved trains, food (especially deviled eggs & polish stew) and to reminisce about the good ol' days. He retired from the US Navy as a Radio Man Chief. But overall, John was a very laid back man. 

He is survived by his wife, Amy H. Bednar; children, Andrea Girardi, Laura Gutierrez, Mark Bednar (Rosette), Brian Stoner (Heather); 12 grandchildren that he enjoyed spoiling; and several nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 1 pm. Family will receive friends the night prior on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 4:00-5:30 pm at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Ln. Suffolk, Va. Condolences can be registered at Rwbakerfh.com.
