He was the husband of Mrs. Lucy Williams Beale and the son of the late William Fletcher and Mrs. Gertrude Hodges Beale of Franklin. An employee of Union Bag–Camp Paper Corporation in recent years, he was for many years prior connected with Franklin Peanut Company. He was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Maddox Beale Laine of Chapel Hill, N. C.; two sisters, Mrs. Doris B. Kilmartin of Arlington and Mrs. Virginia B. Fuller of Danville; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted today, Thursday, at 3:30 p. m. at the graveside in Poplar Spring Cemetery by Rev. Ira D.
