Obituary of Louise Belle Beale 17 Jul 1924 - 5 Aug 2017 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Louise Beale Hurd July 17, 1924 - August 5, 2017 Louise Beale Hurd, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday August 4, 2017. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jayne Hurd, her son, Clark Hurd and grandson Matthew Merrill. Those remaining to enjoy memories of their mother, grandmother "GG" are her daughters and their husbands, Lu and Mike Moore of Melbourne, FL, and Ellen and Ken Hubbard of Marion, N.C., Her grandchildren and their spouses, Jami Merrill, Mia and Toby Ayers, Jessica and Mark Hazelton, Che and Adam Fidanza, Addison and Tiffany Hubbard, Dane LaPorte, and Bethany and Jabin Cavicchi. Her great-grandchildren that she adored: Maddison and Abbigail Fidanza, Grace, Faith and Honor Ayers, Blaine and Bradan Merrill, and Hadyn and Eli Cavicchi. Louise was born in Franklin, VA, and after marrying Clark Hurd moved to Brevard County Florida in 1950. Living first in Titusville, she then moved to Cocoa Beach in 1958 and lived there until 2 years ago when she moved to Bethesda at Turkey Creek in Palm Bay. Louise loved life and living on the beach and was famous for her hospitality, generosity, and "good cooking". She wanted everyone to be more grateful and when she faced difficulties in life, she always wore her "rose-colored" glasses. She had so many friends and maintained those friendships with letters, phone calls and "lunches". She also loved to travel and every year visited her hometown in Virginia to see all her "cousins". A member of Riverside Presbyterian Church, Louise loved being active in mission work. She traveled to Haiti and Cuba to work with children and also visited those in nursing homes all over Brevard County. Her family would like to thank all her friends for being a part of her long life and also a special thanks to her "family" at Bethesda at Turkey Creek for caring for our mother and grandmother these last 2 years. Louise did not want a funeral so the family will have a graveside memorial in Franklin, Virginia where she wanted to be buried alongside her parents, Emmett and Marion Covington Beale on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Also in her memory there will be an "ice cream social" in the Fellowship Hall of Riverside Presbyterian Church on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 11:00 am. Everyone knew Louise loved flowers but instead of sending flowers in her memory, plant jonquils or a dogwood tree, her favorites, or make donations to the Alzheimers Association at alz.org or Riverside Presbyterian Church.
