FRANKLIN. Nov. 15- Ernest Linwood Beale, 68, well-known attorney of Franklin and Southampton County, unexpectedly Saturday at his home. 

Mr. Beale had practiced law in Franklin for about 40 vears and was a member of Congregational Christian Church, where he served as a deacon for over 35 vears, and as a teacher and superintendent of the Sunday school. He was secretary and treasurer of the church. 

Surviving him are three sons, James Vaughan Beale of Norfolk: Ernest L. Beale. and John M. Beale. of Franklin: one granddaughter, Dorothy Carolvn Beale: two sisters, Mrs. Joseph H Saunders, of Newport News. and Mrs. Charles M. Waff. of Suffolk.

Funeral rites will be held at 2 P M. Monday at Congregational Christian with interment in Popular Spring Cemetery.
