MRS. ELLA J. BEALE. 

Franklin, Va.- Mrs. Ella J. Beale, 74, wife of Milton L. Beale, who died 34 years ago, died today at the home of her son, Ernest L. Beale, after a lingering illness. 

She was the daughter of the late John and Frances Beale, of Southampton county. Mrs. Beale was a lifelong member of the Franklin Christian church. She is survived by one son, Ernest L. Beale, of Franklin, and two daughters, Mrs. Joseph H. Saunders, Newport News, and Mrs. Charles'Manly Waff, of Charlottesville, and 10 grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held from the residence of her son Thursday at 3 p. m. by Rev. Elwood W. Jones.
