Ballard, a well known citizen of Isle of Wight county, Va., and a valuable and honorable member of Antioch Christian church, died at his residence Friday morning, May 17[1878], at 7½ o'clock. He was born January 14, 1821, and was therefore a little more than 57 years old at the time of his death.
