She had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Portsmouth, VA. She shared her life with her husband of 31 years, Otho Jerome Baker; children, Michael Gilstrap (Carmen), Tracy Gilstrap Weiss, Heather Gilstrap Harrington, Jay Baker (deceased), David Baker (deceased), and Barbara Baker Jones; grandchildren Arielle Stromberg, Kyle Gilstrap, Claire Weiss, Camille Weiss and John Jones; sister Elaine Pace (deceased), brother Wade Bruce, very special cousin Julia Moody, sister-in-laws Carol Loyer (Hank) and Ruth Baker, nieces Lara Mortimer (Leon), and Joann Baker, and nephew Jimmy Baker.
