Alnee was the best friend, companion, and wife of, Linwood “Andy” Bailey. Alnee was born in Newport News, Virginia on January 25, 1983. After high school, she received her degree in nursing from Thomas Nelson Community College and worked in the ER at Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church and the Courtland Volunteer Rescue Squad, having served as Treasurer and Chaplin. In addition to her husband, Andy, Alnee is survived by her mother, Elizabeth A. Baldwin, of Yorktown; her sister, Myca Shelton, and husband, Floyd, and their children, Anastasia Baldwin, Kaitlyn Shelton, and Keith Shelton of Gloucester; her brother, Chase Baldwin, of Yorktown, and her beloved dachshunds, Libby, Willow, and Kelsey. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles R. Baldwin. Alnee’s courage, faith, and strength were apparent through her passion for making a difference in the lives of others. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Hoyle Green and Rev. Willis Switzer officiating.
