Surviving with his wife, are a stepson, Sammie Whitley of Windsor; three sisters, Elizabeth A. McDonough of Towson, Md., Christine A. Umberit of Winchester, and Lois A. Pomeroy of Front Royal; two stepgrandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg.
