Kenneth N. Archer, Sr. 

Carrollton - Kenneth Nash Archer, Sr., passed away on Wednesday November 12, 2014 at his home. 

He was born in Portsmouth, VA, the son of the late Harry and Addie Archer on June 26, 1918. Nash was a former member of Fourth Street Baptist Church. He was a seventy year member of the Portsmouth Masonic Lodge 100 and a member of the Gridiron Club. He was retired from Supervisor of Shipbuilding of the Newport News Shipyard. Nash was predeceased by his wives, Leotta Hayes Archer and Faye Darling Archer, also, his two brothers, Harry and Edward Archer. 

Survivors include his children, Kenneth Nash Archer, Jr. and Linda Archer Turner; grandchildren, Mark (April) Archer, Charie Nash Wells, Stephanie Archer Giani; great grandchildren, Johnnie Nash Gray, Dustin Wells, Christin Wells; numerous nephews and nieces. 

A Masonic Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 a. m. in Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA, burial to follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7 to 8 p. m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carrollton Volunteer Rescue Squad.
