She was also predeceased by a sister, Nancy Oalene Horne; a brother, Hoke Irvine Horne II; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Frances Abbitt; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Abbitt Kales. Mary Alice was a graduate of the University of Georgia where she received her Bachelor’s Degree and her MBA. She was a retired Actuary from Dominion Power. Mary Alice remained an active member in the Constantia Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Left to cherish her memory are several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in Poplar Spring Cemetery with Rev. Jean Vinson officiating.
