[In the left margin] 230 In the obedience to an order of the County Court of Southampton we the undersigned have examined stated and settle an account current of ? actions of James Harrison with the estate of Absalom Williams decd since the 10th day of October 1809 as stated with in where it will be seen that Cr is given the estate for and expected judgment and Hertford Superior Court which when official received by Mr. Harrison, Will leave them in debt to the estate in the sum of pounds 4 shillings 13 pence eight 4/4 or as within stated Given under out hand this 16 October 1812. Jacob Darden Carr Darden At a court held for the County at Southampton the 16th day of February 1813 this account current of the Estate of Abraham Williams deceased was this received and ordered to be recorded. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [In the left margin] Ledbetter Lowe In the name of God amen I Ledbetter Lowe of the County of Southampton and the Parish of Nottaway being sick and weak in the body but of a perfect mind and memory to make and ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as followeth Vizt Item I lend unto my beloved wife Ann Lowe the use of my plantation together with all the remains of Estate during her widowhood or life and at death or marriage, I give unto to my son Jesse Lowe my land plantation where on I now live containing by estimation 58 acres be the same more or less also one new gin and plantation utensils to him and his heirs forever. Item I give unto my son John Lowe one cow and calf and 10 pounds cash to him and his heirs forever. Item and it is my will and desire that at the death or marriage of my said wife that all the remains of my whole estate not above mentioned shall equally divided between my four daughters namely Sophia Polly Edmunds and Mertens Marie Driver and Nancy Harrison Lowe to them and their hiers forever but provided my wife should die before my youngest daughter should arrive to the age of seven years it is my desire that their[sic] should be so much raised out of my estate as may be thought sufficient to support her for that turn of time Continues on Page 231 Item and lastly I appoint my beloved wife Ann Lowe and my son John Lowe to be my whole and the sole Exer. of this my last will and Testament disannulling and making void all other wills herit of one made In Witness where of I have cure unto set my hand and seal this 29th day of October 1800 Signed sealed and acknowledged Ledbetter Lowe seal In the presence of Jno Crumpler John Haugh his William Brister mark At a court held for the county of Southampton the 16th day of February 1813 This will was presented in court by John Lowe one of the executors herein named (time allowed to the other) proved by the oaths of John Crumpler and William Brister two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
