[In the left margin] William and his heirs forever four hundrad acres of Land lying in the County of Lunenburg and is the same Track whereon he is now settled - I give and bequeath bequeath to my son In the Name of god Amen I William Foster of the County of Amelia, being of Sound & Perfect mind & Memory (Blesed be God) Do this Eight day of November in the year of our Lord Sand Onethousand Seven hundrad Sixty three make ande of! Testament my last Will and One thousand and Seven Hundred & Sixty three make and Publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following First I give & divise unto my Well beloved Wife Ann Faster the use of my two negroes Nan & Sarah and all of my Stocks & Househole furniture to support & maintain during her her Widowhood and No longer. Item I give bequeath unto my Daughter Mary the use of my Negro Woman Judy and her Increase (which she may here after have) from the time of my death until my said Daughter Shall have an heir Lawfully begotten of her body & when that happens my will is that my said daughter Mary then have an Absolute Property in the said Negro Slave Judy and her said future Increase but if my Said Daughter Should ~ depart this Life Without having such heir then my Will and desvie is that the said slave and her sᵈ Increage be delivered to my son William & that he have an absolute property in them. Item I give and bequeath unto my Son James one Negro Man Named Brown to hold to him and his heirs. Item I give unto my Son John and his heirs a negro man Named Charles. Item I give to my Son Booker and his heirs one Negro boy Named Peter. Item It is Will and desire that at the death or marriage of my wife my two negros Nan & Sarah & their future increase be delived up to my Son Richard to Whom I give the property of the Said Slaved and Increase as Aforesaid to hold to him my Said Son Richard & his heirs Item I give two my youngest Sons Booker and Richard the two best feather bed and furniture that shall belong to me at my Death. Item I give to my Son Richard my Copper Kettle Item it is my Will that at the Death on marriage of my Wife my household furniture & Stocks be divided in manner following to Wit two third parts thereof to be delivered up and given to my Son William & the Other thirds to Son Thomas. Item I give & bequeath to my Son [see text left margin] James & to his heirs for ever four hundred acres of Land lying in the said County of Lunenburg on the South Side of the Tract of Land I have given to my Son Thomas by Deed & it is adjoining the land given to my Son William as above Item I give devise & bequeath unto my three Sons, John, Booker and Richard to their heirs for ever the Tract of Land Whereon I now live equally to be divided between them. Richards part to include the Plantation and House Wherein I live and John to have his house of the Other two parts ~ but I do not mean by the last devise that my Wife Shall be hindered from Working the slaves I have given her upon any part of my Tract of [In the left margin] 216 Land I live on on the Contrary I give her and it is my desire that she have her Choice of any part of the said Tract for the Purpose aforesaid ~ durin her Widowhod.
