Timothy Ashley Worrell, 39, died Jan. 1, 2002, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in Ahoskie, N.C., he was a 1981 graduate of Southampton High School and a Debarker Operator for International Paper for 17 years. Timmy was a member of Shiloh Hunt Club and Boykins Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his mother, Janice Joyner Worrell of Boykins; a son, Timothy James "T.J." Worrell of Conway, N.C.; two sisters, Janice Lanell "Nell" Fatherly and husband Michael of Franklin and Dale W. Hinson and husband David of Branchville; a brother, Howard Carter Worrell and wife Tammy of Boykins; Timmy's fiancee, Grace Hinchey of Franklin; two nieces, Crystal Fatherly and Amber Hinson and two nephews, Christopher Fatherly and Jamie Worrell. He was predeceased by his father, Howard Junius Worrell. 

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Boykins Chapel of Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Raymond Bunn. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery , Newsoms . The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home in Boykins and suggests that memorials be made to Boykins Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Box 347, Boykins, VA 23827.
