Mayo Harrison Worrell, 79, of Zuni, a retired postmaster of Zuni, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1993, at Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth.
Mr. Worrell, a native of Southampton County, was the son of the late Willie J. and Mamie Harrison Worrell. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1969 after 28 years. He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, Zuni.
A funeral will be conducted at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church on Sunday, Feb. 7, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Steve Bradshaw and the Rev. J. Waverly Horne. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, this evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the building fund of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, Zuni, Va. 23898.
