Edward Harold Worrell, 83, died June 4, 2004, at his home.

Born Aug. 17, 1920, in Hertford County, N.C., he was the son of the late
Milton H. and Laura Whitley Worrell and widower of Annie Wright Baines
Worrell. Mr. Worrell was a retired farmer and a Methodist.

Survivors include his sisters, Nellie Bryant of Newsoms, Ruth Culbertson
and Eva Holland, both of Suffolk, Alice Barnhill Mansfield of Suffolk;
brother, George Pope of Courtland; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Buckhorn
Baptist Church Cemetery in Hertford, N.C., by the Rev. John F. Shappell.
The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home &
Crematory from 7 to 8 p.m. today. www.rwbakerfh.com.
