Obituary of Benjamin Fenton Worrell BENJAMIN F. WORRELL Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - March 8, 2002, B-9 Benjamin Fenton Worrell, 82, died March 6, 2002, in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness. Born in Southampton County on Oct. 10, 1919, he was the son of the late Benjamin Robert Worrell and Helen Horne Worrell. He was a retired self-employed logger, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Mr. Worrell was the loving husband of Vera Edwards Worrell. He is also survived by two daughters, Betsy W. Cutright and husband, "Butch", Patty W. Felts and husband, Wayne, all of Ivor; three grandchildren, Michael Felts and wife, Renee, Neil Cutright and wife, Jennifer, and Leslie Felts, all of Franklin; and three great-grandchildren, Hillary Drake, Taylor Morgan Felts and Dustin Cutright. He was predeceased by three sisters, Opha Worrell, Audrey Worrell and Ruby Tynes; and a brother, Aubrey Worrell. A funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield, with the Rev. Steve Gupton and the Rev. Steve Bradshaw officiating. Interment will be in Ivor Cemetery . The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
