He was co-owner of Sea Scape Golf Links, Kitty Hawk, N.C. His previous business was in wholesale refrigeration and air conditioning. In addition to his wife of 52 years, Frances Davis, Charles is survived by a sister, Marion Woodard; one nephew and four nieces. A graveside service will be at Beechwood Cemetery in Boykins, Va., on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. James Cobb. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, an hour prior to the service on Wednesday. A memorial service will follow on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 1301 Colley Ave., Norfolk.
