"Nancy" Wood, 89, of the 5600 block of Wesleyan Drive, passed away Nov. 23, 2003. She was born Jan. 9, 1914, in the Berkley section of Norfolk, to the late Herbert C. and Nina M. Manry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank N. Wood and a son, Larry M. Wood. She is survived by a daughter, Nina W. "Becky" Fenska and her husband, Walter L. Fenska Jr.; grandchildren, Amy C. DAmico, Jennifer M. Wood, Eric B. Fenska and Meredyth W. Bryant; and four great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Wood was a member of Freemason Street Baptist Church and the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living Facility, 5620 Wesleyan Drive, Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freemason Street Baptist Church or Childrens Hospital of The Kings Daughters. The Cremation Society of Virginia, Virginia Beach, is in charge of arrangements.
