Obituary of ALVIN FRANK WHITEHEAD The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, October 13, 1994 Alvin Frank Whitehead, 69, of 31545 Country Club Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 1994, at his home. Mr. Whitehead was a lifelong resident of Southampton County and was the son of the late Frank W. and Edna Vaughan Whitehead. He was an Army veteran of World War II and had retired as plant manager of St. Regis Paper Company after 41 years of service. Mr. Whitehead was a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Marjorie Davis Whitehead; one daughter, Kaye W. Story of Franklin; three sons, Col. A. Frank Whitehead Jr., U.S.A. of Springfield, Va., Billy D. Whitehead of Sedley and Doug H. Whitehead of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Blake Whitehead, Ryan Whitehead, Ginny Whitehead, Erica Whitehead, Austin Whitehead, Angela Story and Caleb Whitehead. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. James X. Camak. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery , Courtland .
