Miss Whitehead was born in Courtland , Va., and was the daughter of the late George Henry and Mary Ellen Whitehead. She was a graduate of Courtland High School and Farmville State Teachers College. She was a member of Nottoway Methodist Church and had retired as a secretary for the Johns Mansville Corporation in Jarratt, Va. Survivors include cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Riverside Cemetery , Courtland , by the Rev. John Wimer. Friends may join the family at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
