Virginia Skinner Wade, 84, of Crescent Drive, a retired cashier, died June 7, 1992, in a hospital. 

Mrs. Wade was born in Franklin. She had retired from Lyon's State Theater. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and High Street Senior Citizens. She was a volunteer at the East Pavilion of Southampton Memorial Hospital and was the widow of George T. Wade Sr. 

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Page Granzeau and Donna W. Bristow, both of Hampton; a son, G. Thomas Wade Jr. of Franklin; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home by the Revs. Sharon James and Ira D. Hudgins. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
