Jesse Alton Vick, 80, of Franklin, died Dec. 26, 1992. 

Mr. Vick was born in Southampton County and was a retired superintendent for Franklin Concrete Products. He was an Army veteran of World War II and also was a POW and was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon and active member of the Bruner Bible Class. 

Survivors include his wife, Edna Wellons Vick; two daughters, Connie Yarbrough of High Point, N.C., and Nita Carr of Windsor, Va.; two sons, Alton "Sonny" Vick Jr. of Franklin and Robert "Bob" Vick of Richmond; four sisters, Frances Ward, Betty Wine and Ida Lassiter, all of Portsmouth, and Corine Macon of Norfolk; and nine grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Franklin Baptist Church. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Franklin Baptist Church Building Fund. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
