  Mrs. Garnette D. Vawter, 73, of Richmond, died early Friday morning, April 17, 1992 at her home. She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Vawter; she was the daughter of William Henry and Lottie Dickerson Deane; widow of the late Claude W. Blythe of Richmond; a son, Wilson Deane Blythe of Troy, Michigan; one daughter, Blythe Randolph, New York City; one sister, Mrs. Ennis Haney of Ruckersville, Va.; two brothers, Scott Deane of Locust Dale, Va. and W.H. Deane, Jr. of Troy, Va.; one grandchild, Halley Lynn Blythe of Troy, Michigan; one daughter, Blythe Randolph, New York City; one sister, Mrs. Ennis Haney of Ruckersville, Va.; two brothers, Scott Deane of Locust Dale, Va.; and W.H. Deane, Jr. of Troy, Va.; one grandchild, Halley Lynn Blythe of Troy, Michigan. She was a retired Nurse Anesthetist. Also a member of Battery Park Christian Church. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave. A graveside service will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, Va. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Thomas Hospice at Retreat Hospital.

A graveside service was held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, contributions were made to the American Cancer Society or the Thomas Hospice at Retreat Hospital.
