Obituary of LULA D. TYREE Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - January 24, 1991 Lula Duff Tyree, 82, of Route 1, a retired saleswoman, died Jan. 23, 1991, in a Newport News nursing home. Mrs. Tyree, a native of Rockbridge County, Va., was the widow of Lloyd Walker Tyree. She was formerly employed with Roses Department Store, Bracey Cleaners and The Suffolk News-Herald. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Franklin. Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy T. Bailey of Pine Bluff, Ark., Patricia T. Smith of Wellsville, Utah, and Gail T. Gavin of Franklin; two sons, William F. Tyree of Carlsbad, N.M., and Bobby L. Tyree of Carrsville; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by Elder James P. Councill III. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home and other times at the home of Gail Gavin, 303-B Bogart St., Franklin.
