Mr. Turner was born in Statesville, N.C. He had retired from Sheffield Lumber Co. after 25 years. He was the widower of Aubrey Morris Turner. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret T. Pittard of Suffolk; and two sons, W. Kent Turner of Suffolk and Morris W. Turner of Corapeake, N.C.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Joseph Lang and the Rev. Duncan Schirmer. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery , Courtland .
