He was a member of Boaz Presbyterian Church and the Purdie Masonic Lodge No. 170. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Ovella Hall Turner; a daughter, Janet Turner Rhodes; a granddaughter, Laurie Leigh Rhodes, all of Windsor; and a multitude of friends. A funeral with Masonic rites will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Basil L. Ballard. Burial will be in Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery.
