A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Roy Taylor and a member of Boykins Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister, Inez P. Barnes of Boykins; two nieces, Jackie Hickman of Wilmington, N.C., and Jewel Casey of Franklin; three nephews, Eldridge Felts and Kenneth Barnes of Boykins and Silas Nelms of Manchester, Tenn. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Phil Motley in Beechwood Cemetery. McDowell Funeral Home in Boykins is in charge of arrangements.
