NEWPORT NEWS – Dorothy Bryant Strader, 74, a Peninsula resident for 40 years, died Monday, Jan. 25.
  She was a dental technician and was formerly employed in civil service, Mrs. Strader was a member of Noland Memorial Methodist Church.
  Survived by a daughter, Barbara Hawkins of Granby, Conn.; a son, Blakely Hill of Ivor; two brothers, Frank Bryant of Hampton and Elliot Bryant of Ivor; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
  Visitation from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Riversdie Funeral Home. Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home by the Rev. William L. Waters. Burial in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
