Born in Isle of Wight County, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Lucy Nelms Powell. Survivors include her husband, Edward C. Story; two daughters, Tracy Lynn Story of Suffolk and Joy Lambert and her husband, Ed, of Chesapeake; two sons, Carl Fitzgerald Story of Windsor, Va., and Robert Gary Benton of Walters, Va.; two sisters, Lillie Mae Cobb of Sedley and Louise P. Vargo of Franklin; two grandchildren, Chuck Reed and Elizabeth Lambert; and greatly missed by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. Edward Story of Newsoms . A funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Gary Hartman and the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery , Newsoms .
