Obituary of Jessie Giles Story JESSIE GILES STORY Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 15, 2001 Jessie Giles Story, 90, died Aug. 13, 2001. A lifelong resident of Southampton County, he was a son of the late Lewis W. and Annie Vick Story and a retired farmer. He was a member of Barnes United Methodist Church. Mr. Story was predeceased by his first wife, Minnie Hill Story; a daughter, Blanche S. Drake; a son, Benjamin Story; and a grandson, Joseph Drake. Survivors include his wife, Gracie Gray Story; two sons, James L. ``Tee Wee'' Story and wife Marie of Franklin and Jesse L. ``Buddy'' Story and wife Judy of Chesapeake; a brother, R. Edward Story of Newsoms ; three stepdaughters, Audrey Pope and husband James of Courtland, Catherine Parker and husband Frank of Franklin and Brenda Francis of Ahoskie; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and 17 stepgreat-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Gary Hartman and the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery . The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Mrs. Gracie Story, 23084 Statesville Road, Newsoms and at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Story, 23001 Jons Place, Franklin.
