Story Sr., 78, of the 31500 block of Story Lane, died March 28, 1998, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was a lifetime resident of the area and a retired local businessman. He was the son of the late Eugene Thomas Story and Susie Coggsdale Story. He was a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church, American Legion, and the V.F.W. He was a past member of the Franklin Moose Lodge, Delaware Hunt Club, Camp P.D. Hunt Club, and the Blackwater Hunt Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a World War II veteran. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Victoria F. Story; four sons, Jack T. Story Jr., Robert L. Story, Victor M. Story, S. Eugene Story, all of Franklin; a son-in-law, James C. Bunch of Suffolk; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Susan S. Bunch. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Holland-Rideout Funeral Home by the Rev. Kenneth Williams and Dr. Richard Peerey. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park .
