Carolyn Lomax Story, 50, died Sept. 26, 2000, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Lomax Story and Ruby Hargrave Vargo. 
Survivors include her husband, Wilson P. Story Jr.; two daughters, Carol Mitchell and her husband, Benji, of Eure, N.C., and Amanda Story of Franklin; three sisters, Lena Woodard and Lona Worley, both of North Carolina, and Mary Seal of Franklin; and two grandchildren, Randy Barrett and Renae Barrett. 
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Vinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
