FRANKLIN - Lelia Jones Stephenson, 84, died Thursday, Feb. 28 in Lafayette Villa, Norfolk. 
Mrs. Stephenson was a native of Franklin and attended Radford College. 
She was a retired teacher of Ivor Elementary School and a former kindergarten teacher in the Franklin school system. 
Mrs. Stephenson was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. 
Survivors include a daughter, Dianna S. Hellberg of Norfolk; a son, H. Wayland Stephenson Jr. of Richmond; and two grandchildren. 
A funeral will be conducted at Franklin Baptist Church at 11 today by the Rev. Michael J. Clingenpeel. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. 
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind of Hampton, 700 Shell Road, Hampton 23661.
