Mr. Scott was born in Wakefield. He had retired as superintendent of the lumber division of Union Camp Corp. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member High Street United Methodist Church; Veterans of World War I, Southampton Barracks 1162; and Virginia Purebred Swine Breeders Association. He was a past president of Hunterdale Ruritan Club. He was the widower of Regina Carty Scott. Survivors include two daughters, Neta S. Hart of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Barbara A. Scott of Fishersville, Va.; a sister, Eugenia S. Blankenship of Franklin; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Philip R. Hart. Friends may join the family at the residence.
