Obituary of William Arthur "Willie" Sayer WILLIAM ARTHUR SAYER Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, December 22, 2000 William Arthur ``Willie'' Sayer, 87, died Dec. 20, 2000, at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mr. Sayer was a native of Antofagsta, Chile, and was a son of the late Escobar and Maria Sayer. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Fekete Sayer. Willie was an Army veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific. A longtime resident of New York, Willie had retired from J.C. Valentine Company after 36 years of service. He was a faithful member of St. Jude's Catholic Church and the High Street Senior Citizens. Survivors include his brother-in-law, Johnny Fekete and his wife, Edith; sister-in-law, Eula Fekete; three nieces, Margie F. Cutright and her husband, Buster, Sandra F. Vann and her husband, Jeff, and Mary Elizabeth Barnes; four nephews, Stevie Fekete, Mark Wayne Fekete and his wife, Elaine, Tommy Barnes and his wife, Jane, and Paul S. Fekete; nine great-nieces, Margaret Anne Smith, Patricia F. Davis, Christy Fekete, Kristi, Tammi, Melody and Tommi-Jo Barnes, Dene' and Abbey Vann; one great-great-niece, Grace Ann Davis. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Jude's Catholic Church, by Father Carl De Souza. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery , Courtland . The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today where prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m. At other times, friends may join the family at the home of Johnny and Edith Fekete, 21011 Old Hickory Road, Courtland .
