Obituary of SARAH ELIZABETH FERGUSON SAUNDERS

Sarah Ferguson Saunders, 76, of the first block of Church St., a retired teacher, died May 30, 1994, in her residence. 

Mrs. Saunders was born in Southampton County, daughter of the late Gussie Ferguson and Robert Ferguson. She was retired from the Isle of Wight County School System and was a member of Windsor Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her husband, Miles M. Saunders Sr.; one son, M. McClenney Saunders Jr. of Hampton; and two sisters-in-law, Hortense S. Fowler of Carrsville and Adelaide S. Worrell of Windsor. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Windsor Baptist Church by the Rev. James B. Crocker. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. The family will be at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
