Obituary of LOTHAIR JESSIE SANFORD Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - November 5, 1996 Lothair Jesse "Jutt" Sanford, 82, of 213 Southampton Road, died Nov. 4, 1996, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mr. Sanford was a native of Springfield, S.C., and was the son of the late J.J. and Julia Garrick Sanford. He was a retired production manager at St. Regis Paper Co. after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church; a member of the Cypress Cove Country Club and a charter member of the Hunterdale Ruritan Club. Mr. Sanford served on the original board responsible for bringing the YMCA to Franklin. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mabel Drake Sanford; two sisters, Dollie S. Gunter of Greer, S.C. and Julia S. Kittrell of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews including Danny and David Drake of Newsoms. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms, by the Rev. Derek Koolman.
