(2002) A millwright for Iinternational Paper Co. for more than 28 years, he was a native of Holland. He was a member of the McAllister Masonic Lodge #185 A.F.&A.M. He was formerly a member of the Portsmouth Scottish Rites and Khedive Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. He was an honorary member of the color guard. He was the son of the late Reginald and Amy Bracey Robertson. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya R. and David S. Hassell, Tata R. and Mark S. Joyner, all os Fussolk; son and daughter-in-law, James "Jay" E. Robertson Jr. and Angela S. Robertson of Suffolk; grandchildren, Jacob and Seth Hassell, Eaitlyn Robertson and Caleb Hassell; brothers, Reginald "Buddy" Robertson, Ronald, Roger, Ross and Adrian Robertson, all of Suffolk; former wife, Shirley W. Robertson of Suffolk; aunts uncles; nieces, nephews; and many friends. A funeral was held Oct. 29, in Parr Funeral Home by Pastor Robert L. Groves, Jr. and the Rev. Dolan A. Talbert.
