Obituary of Milford Glenn Rhodes MILFORD GLENN RHODES Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, June 21, 2001 CHESAPEAKE - Milford Glenn Rhodes, 67, of Mariner Drive, died June 19, 2001, in Portsmouth.< Mr. Rhodes, a native of Pine Level, N.C., retired as a quality assurance specialist with 32 years of service from Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Newport News. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He attended Taylor Road Baptist Church and was the widower of Elizabeth M. Rhodes. Survivors include his stepdaughter, Linda Wright of Suffolk; two sisters, Shelby Yarbrough of Granbury, Texas, Ernestine Davis of Chesapeake; an aunt, Clarice Williams of North Carolina; two uncles, Pete Crumpler of North Carolina, Hubert Crumpler of Chesapeake; two nieces, Cynthia Stevens, Charlotte Stryhal; three great-nieces and two great-nephews. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Taylor Road Baptist Church by Dr. Mel Kunkle. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery , Courtland . The family will receive friends at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
