She had retired from private duty nursing and was a native of Isle of Wight County, Va. She was the widow of Harrison Adolphus Redd and a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, Zuni, Va. She was the daughter of the late William Wellignton and Marie Henderson Wellington Delk. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Odell Griggs of Chesapeake; stepson, John Harrison Redd of Windsor; two sisters, Louise W. Thomas and Vivian W. Breakiron, both of Suffolk; half-brother, Carson Wellington of Goldsboro, N.C.; brother-in-law, Wayne Breakiron of Franklin; and six grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. W. Steve Bradshaw in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Burial is in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family in the Hill Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the residence.
