Mary Virginia ''Ginny'' Wellington Redd, 76, of the 500 block of Chestnut St., died Feb. 19, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General.
She had retired from private duty nursing and was a native of Isle of Wight County, Va. She was the widow of Harrison Adolphus Redd and a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, Zuni, Va. She was the daughter of the late William Wellignton and Marie Henderson Wellington Delk.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Odell Griggs of Chesapeake; stepson, John Harrison Redd of Windsor; two sisters, Louise W. Thomas and Vivian W. Breakiron, both of Suffolk; half-brother, Carson Wellington of Goldsboro, N.C.; brother-in-law, Wayne Breakiron of Franklin; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. W. Steve Bradshaw in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Burial is in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family in the Hill Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, 37527 Seacock Chapel Road, Zuni, Va. 23898.

Mary Virginia "Ginny" Wellington Redd, 76, of the 500 block of Chestnut St., died February 19, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General.
