Tony Cobb Rawls, 77, son of the late Robert Henry and Evelyn Cobb Rawls died Monday, March 9, 1998, in Richmond. 

He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II and a member of the U.S. Navy League. 

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Love Rawls; a sister, Senora R. Tomlinson of Richmond; two cousins, Walter White Cobb of Courtland and Mary Thomas Rawls Thomson of Charlottesville; two nephews, William B. Tomlinson III of Richmond and Robert H. Tomlinson of Lebanon, Va. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. Ron Carlberg. Burial will be in Ivor Cemetery . The family will receive friends at the funeral home for the hour prior to the service today. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101.
