Mr. Raiford was born in Virginia and was a Baptist. He had retired from St. Regis Paper Co. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Warren Edwards Raiford; a stepdaughter, Carolyn E. Jones of Kitty Hawk; a son, Timothy Raiford Jr. of Richmond; two sisters, Stella R. Raiford of Courtland and Bernice R. Eanes of Franklin; and five grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Southampton Memorial Park by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Friends may join the family at the residence.
