Stella R. Raiford, 88, died Nov. 17, 1998. 

Born Aug. 1, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Robert Allen and Lizzie Joyner Raiford. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Bowles of Courtland; a sister, Bernice Eanes of Franklin; and a grandson, David Allen Gray. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Southampton Memorial Park with Hugh Spaulding officiating. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
