Obituary of ECIL B. RADER The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - August 2, 1993 Ecil Burl Rader, 85, of 30350 Smith Ferry Road, died Aug. 1, 1993, in Sentara Leigh Hospital. Mr. Rader, a native of Summersville in Nicholas County, W. Va., was the son of Media Ann and Emerson Rader and the widower of Ann Turner Rader. He had retired in 1973 from Union Camp Corporation, having worked at the Franklin Mill since 1947. Mr. Rader was a life member of the Bronco Rod and Hunt Club. Survivors include three sons, Howard Rader of Plymouth, N.C., Alan Rader and Sidney Rader, both of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Ramona Sawyer of Plymouth, N.C.; two daughters-in-law, Peggy Rader of Plymouth and Vicki C. Rader of Virginia Beach; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces, four great-nieces; and several cousins. The family will receive friends at 30350 Smith Ferry Road and at Wright Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Hunterdale United Church of Christ by the Rev. James X. Camak VI. A graveside service will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to gather at Fred's Restaurant immediately following the graveside service. Memorial donations may be made to the church building fund or to the Children's Center.
