Sarah Jenkins Pugh, of the 8000 block of First Colonial Road, a retired registered nurse, died Dec. 4, 1991, in a hospital. 

Mrs. Pugh was born in Franklin. She had retired from Portsmouth General Hospital. She was the widow of Elmer R. Pugh and was a member of Monumental United Methodist Church, Portsmouth. 

Survivors include a son, E. Randy Pugh of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, by the Rev. Arthur W. Wingfield. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road. 

Memorial donations may be made to the church or to Virginia Beach Rescue Squad.
