Obituary of Joseph V. Pratt JOSEPH V. PRATT Virginian Pilot  05-24-2002 FRANKLIN  Joseph V. Pratt, 89, of Homestead Lane, died May 23, 2002, in Tandem Health Car of Windsor. A native of Suffolk, Mr. Pratt retired as a petroleum salesman for Union Oil Co. He was a member of the Khedive Shrine Temple, past president of the Virginia Beach Shrine Club, member of the Franklin Shrine Club No. 151, the Scottish Rite Bodies of Norfolk, the Norfolk Royal Arch Chapter No. 1, and Grice Commandery Chapter No. 16. He was the son of the late Joseph S. Pratt and Maude Harrell Pratt; the widow of Dorothy W. Pratt; and was also predeceased by a son, Joseph S. Pratt; two sisters, Ruth Pratt and Agnes Davis; and a brother, Harrell Pratt. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara P. Hutcheson of Chesapeake and Beverly P. and Joseph Cowling of Oakton, Va.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and James Roberts of Courtland. A graveside service of remembrance with Masonic rites will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Edward Johnson. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, in memory of Joseph Pratt, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605-4277.
