Isaac Murdock ''Ike'' Pierce, 72, of the 6300 block of Vaughan Ave., died July 14, 1996, in Obici Hospital. 
Mr. Pierce was born in Nansemond County, son of the late Martha Catherine Williams Pierce and William Farest Pierce Sr. He was retired as a warehouse supervisor from Commonwealth Storage. He was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church, Whaleyville Ruritan Club and Travelers Protective Association, Post P. 
Survivors include his wife, Ann Taylor Pierce; a daughter, Nancy P. DeJarnette of Suffolk; two sons, Graham A. Pierce of Christiansburg, Va., and Farest T. Pierce of Mechanicsville, Va.; a brother, William F. Pierce Jr. of Suffolk; and three grandchildren. 
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. David M. Jendrey. Burial will be in Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today, and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Whaleyville Volunteer Fire Department, 6235 Whaleyville Blvd., Suffolk, Va. 23438.

Isaac Murdock "Ike" Pierce, 72, of the 6300 block of Vaughan Ave., died 14 July 1996 in Obici Hospital.
