††A native of Isle of Wight County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Susie Moody Barlow. Mrs. Pierce was a secretary with the Suffolk Sheriffs Office for 19 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
††Survivors include her husband, Wilbur L. Buddy Pierce, Jr.; a step-daughter, Fay P. Sims of Norfolk; her sisters, Myrtle B. Costner and Agnes B. Nelms, both of Suffolk, and Tillie B. Underwood of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; a brother, Dr. Robert S. Barlow of Urbanna, Va.; three step grandchildren, Mary Beth Rickman of Summit, N.J., Anne Marie Wynne of Virginia Beach and Billy Sims of Richmond; and a step-great-granddaughter, Jordan Elizabeth Rickman.
††A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles W. Thompson and the Rev. Wm. David Hicks. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
††The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 today in R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home.
